What I liked

I had a really good experience for the birth of my son. Labour ward and the midwives involved were fantastic. Post natal ward - the staff were obviously very busy but did an excellent job and were more than happy to help me.

What could be improved

More staff on post natal ward would be ideal.

We also had a long wait for the tour of the hospital prior to the birth (30 mins in a hot room with no one telling us how long the wait would be) - perhaps a member of staff allocated to this tour would help?

I am sorry that ti has taken us so long to reply to your posting - I am sorry but we have only recently set up our systems to read and respond on a regular basis to stories here on Patient Opinion and felt it was important to still respond to older postings. I am pleased that all went so well with the birth of your son - can I offer delayed congratulations as his first birthday approaches! With regards to the hospital tour I will pass your comments to the team; I am sure that they try to have a member of staff present but it could be that they were caught up elsewhere - that said we should have let you know and I am sorry for that.
