"Made to feel at ease"

About: Forth Valley Royal Hospital / Dermatology

(as the patient),

I attended after being referred by my doctor for removal and analysis of a suspected Rodent Ulcer and a "tag"  from my wrist.

I was met at the waiting area by Kirsty, the Practitioner Nurse and she led me to the room where the procedure took place.  She introduced me to her assistant Doreen and asked me some safety questions, then explained the procedures.  I told her I'd discovered another tag on my shoulder and she said that could also be removed.

I was made to feel at ease by both nurses throughout my appointment, with every stage being carefully explained and checked with me.

After stiching, plasters and follow-up explanation I was sent happy on my way.

Thank you for taking time to leave feedback about your hospital visit. I have shared your lovely comments with our team. It is nice to hear that your experience was a positive one as coming into hospital can be an anxious time. We try to ensure that patients are informed every step of the way and it is reassuring to hear that you felt this was the case. I hope your wounds are healing well.

Thanks again.

Kirsty
