"Dermatology ongoing treatment is non existant"

I came to Chelsea and west minister as an urgent 10 day referral which was done within the time, saw a very good consultant who explained that a biopsy needs to be done and would be done swiftly, and gave me forms to give to reception for the future booking which they said I would receive within a week so I know what’s going on and can plan around it for work etc, this was March 23rd. Since then I have heard nothing so after a week rang to find out if there was an appointment due to other treatment taking place.

I can only explain the treatment from there onwards is just disgusting. It may take 10 minutes or so to get through appointments hotline, and then just goes downhill.

You basically get put through to various departments of dermatology, get different names of people dealing with your future treatment, get various numbers of mailboxes that you can’t leave messages on as they are full, or you get the normal assistance when the phone message says BYE and then cut you off.

I wouldn’t mind as such if it was for something basic but with the worry of the urgent 10 day referral, being told what is possible a cancer or pre cancer and needs a biopsy, having photos taken so they can have a closer look and look at future growth, and then basically nothing but 25 calls this week hanging around and being fobbed off.

You get given no assurance that the issue has ever been dealt with by riniging the hospital, and every time you say you want something done you get the promise that an email will be sent to the manager and it will be escalated and so on blah blah blah.

I have just got through the third time today and even though I wasn’t cut off, this time I had someone who again said she would send and email to the department and manager and this would be done again as some of the staff who have spoken to me maybe part time and that’s why nothing gets done, and the managers are aware she would escalate it and so on, again blah blah blah as it means nothing when you have been told you need a biopsy quickly.

I have left a reference number 02810439 as I am fed up reading the reviews by the hospital saying an email must be sent to the managers and they will look at it etc etc, or contact pals who do nothing and to be honest you just get through to another answerphone which says they will take it further, but as they have the nice office in the hospital I assume they prefer not to take things further, I haven’t even had a reply to my first complaint left on their phone rather not rock the boat so they don’t lose their office.

I was also just told that there is only one male who can book the biopsy and he’s not in today which is the dermatology out patient day, and therefore seems to have not been there for the last two weeks as nothing has been done since the 23rd March. I Assume there are loads of managers there doing nothing so can someone please deal with this issue and send out an appointment and show some common decency
