Referred to musculoskeletal services at Lawson street health centre Stockton on tees, sent me for a MRI and was then told I needed physiotherapy as having difficulty using my hands to do everyday tasks, like fastening buttons and writing.
I have cervical spondylosis and my fine motor skills have deteriorated making life very difficult on a day to day basis. I have now been waiting 13 weeks and still no appointment, did telephone and ask how long and why was I waiting such a long time. Was told I was referred as routine and could be waiting for as long as 9 months!
Cannot believe I was referred as routine when I find it impossible to do everyday tasks using my hands, even cooking is very difficult and washing my hair. I find it really alarming that patients are having to wait so long for physio causing conditions to become worse.
Still no treatment and having to live like this everyday not having the full use of my hand.
"long wait for physiothrepy"
