What I liked
A&E staff knew what they were doing, and provided good care with lots of explanations. Despite it being late afternoon on a Friday, I was dealt with fairly quickly.
What could be improved
Some idea of how long things would take from seeing a Doctor to being able to go home. Also Doctor did not make a follow up orthopaedic appointment - which my GP had to make.
Anything else?
Having had previous experience of RLI (endocrine & cardiology departments), I had faithfully promised I would never ever return to the Royal Lancaster Infirmary. However, the Doctors in A&E were very helpful, and I couldn't fault them. Follow up appointment with orthopaedics was also very good. Starting to very slowly regain faith in the RLI - but would avoid the endocrine consultants!
"Much better than expected"
