"Surprise at gall stone scan."

About: Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham

I recently had a scan for gall stones when I was informed that my aorta was enlarged. The vascular staff were called and the next few days were a blur. I was informed that my aorta was almost 8cm and would need to be repaired immediately. I was given as much information as I could take in but every step of the way I felt like I was being looked after by the most professional, caring, understanding people you could wish to be with. To cut a long story short, myself and family will never forget the staff at QEH.

Thank you for being there. You really make a difference.
