"Great post surgery treatment and fast turnaround at RVI, ward 23"

Fractured my hip in 4 places in Maltaat the end of June falling out of my wheelchair. Great service and same day fixation surgery with a dynamic condylar plate and screws by Mr F Zammit Maempel in St James hospital in Sliema then stretchered home to Newcastle at the beginning of July. Arrived at the RVI early evening, in the space of about 16 hours I was re X-rayed, saw 2 consultants, had physio advice and because I was keen to get home they even got me into x-ray at 6am to make sure the specialist could see the films at the 8am MDT meeting. People were great:- friendly, professional, the ward, despite being in the old part of the hospital had been nicely renovated and was spotlessly clean and bright. Big thanks to all.
