"Positive Podiatry Experience"

About: Lanarkshire Community Services / Podiatry

(as a service user),

Self referral to podiatry for son for ankle pain. Seen by competent professional and clearly knowledgeable chap at Bellshill health centre this week one morning. He spoke to both child and parents with respect and warmth giving useful advice and reassurance. Made to feel at ease reassured and clear about next steps.

Dear Worried woman,

Thank you for taking the time to share your family's experience of Podiatry Services at Bellshill Health Centre.

This is exactly the type of person-centred approach that all our staff aspire to provide to every patient, every time. It's really important that children and young people are recognised and included in decisions about their care and I'm delighted that you were both reassured and left knowing what the next steps were.

I will share your feedback with the Head of Podiatry, Mr Robert Peat so that he can convey your kind words to the staff involved and the wider service for learning (he would have responded to you personally but he is on annual leave at the moment).

I wish you all well for the future.

Kind regards
