"Bad communications"

About: The Village Medical Ctr

I have been a registered patient to this surgery for few years. At the beginning, they were excellent, however since last year, the service is gradually going down. They normally in the past will inform all patients of any changes happened in the surgery. However, in the past year or so, our previous GPs have been abandoning the surgery one after the other and the last one left early this year. No communications from the surgery what so ever to what happened. I found out when I went to the surgery last week and saw the GP's name board is blank.

I feel kind of disappointed and feel abandoned.

Dear patient.

I am sorry to hear that you feel misinformed about changes at the practice over the past year.

My name is Jo and I am the new practice manager and have been in post for 2 months now. In a bid to keep patients informed about what changes have been made I have reinstated the patient reference group (first meeting 11th April) as well as introducing a patient newsletter which is now available both on our website and in hard copy to take away at the surgery.

I would be more than happy to discuss these in more detail with you and hope that this would help to alleviate your concerns.

Please feel free to contact me at the surgery any time to discuss in more detail.
