"5 days in Ward 5 FGH"

I was admitted to FGH approximately 2 weeks ago for surgery. I was in and out within 2 days from Ward 5 and everyone was lovely. I had about 10 days with the dressing clinic. There was a slight complication on the weekend as the main reception desk didn't know that it moves to another room on the weekend, which meant a nurse had to come back to FGH for me in the afternoon (very thankful to the district nurses for that).

The dressing clinic nurses are amazing, they made me so calm and made what can be a very uncomfortable experience very easy and relaxed. Unfortunately due to complications with my medical issue there were still problems; these were quickly identified by the nurses and they made sure to get a surgeon to quickly see me. Within 2 days I was booked in for an MRI and was admitted back to Ward 5.

Here is where I have to really show my appreciation. I spent 5 days on Ward 5 and the nurses, health care assistants and doctors were all fantastic. The nurses espeically were always round to check my pain levels and were very socialable and kept me smiling. The nurses who looked after me on night shifts were legends (especially looking after me at my lowest points). The doctors kept me very well informed of what their plan was and were happy to help explain what they were going to do in further detail.

Absolutely amazing care, FGH be very proud of your staff!!
