"A new dr but sadly failed on customer service"

About: Lostock Hall Medical Ctr.

went to the surgery today and I had a new DR for some pain killers for back pain and knee pain come out with some type of ibuprofen rub I live on my own how do I get that stuff on my back twice a day when I cant reach it I said what about paracetemol for the pain Dr said no, I asked for some dry skin cream and was told I could buy it over the counter I said I'm on pension credits and have no money I was asked if I worked I said I had retired on health grounds, I asked for lanzoprazole prescription I was told I could not have them either because they cause ulcers so I got gaviscon tablets instead i was asked why I needed lansoprazole I said I had heartburn and was told I needed a scope down my throat I told them I had one done 5 yrs ago and the outcome was lansoprazole and gaviscon at the same time.

very bitter experience at this surgery i was treat like I should not have been their.

I am now changing surgery along with I expect quite a few others

We are sorry that you feel dissatisfied with your treatment. We will pass on your comments to the clinical team. I am sure all of the team follow best practice and national guidelines, but there is always room to improve how this is explained to patients within the confines of a 10 minute appointment. Feedback from patients is generally very positive. We need to encourage more patients to post their views on-line.
