"Delivered what we needed when we needed..."

About: Royal Hampshire County Hospital

What I liked

My 3 year old son was admitted via A&E with a fracture needing surgery. The speed and quality of service we received was excellent. Both my husband and I are medics and have seen flaws in working environments such as this but we could have not have asked for a better service and care and expertise. It was delivered with expertise, involvement, of the parents and my son. Yes there are alway little things that could be better such as but these are luxuries. Administrative difficulties etc and delays. However, we consoled ourselves that if they are busy delivering high quality care to people that need it acutely, then the not so important stuff with have to take a back seat. It was my child "inconveniencing" someone elses discharge a few days prior. This hospital delivered what our child needed in a reassuringly professional way when it was needed. Thank you.
