What I liked
I could not fault anything about the breast care treatment I received. All staff were fantastic very caring and understanding. My surgeon was the most amazing man and surgeon. I am so pleased with the surgery and the final outcome, totally happy.
What could be improved
Nothing very happy with all areas.
Anything else?
I was diagnosed with breast cancer in sept 2010, the swift service meant by oct 2010 all test had been done and I was booked in for surgery.
My surgeon explained fully the options I had and that usually because of the size of my tumour it would be a mastectomy. He then said he had another way to try, if I wanted to. All was explained in full detail and I was given time to go away and consider.
I chose to try the lumpectomy and reconstruction, followed by 23 treatments of radiotherapy. This was all completed by feb 2011, then on 31st may 2011 I had the other breast reconstructed for symmetry. I now have 2 identical breasts (so amazing to achieve this). This has been a very tough few months but all the staff were amazing. Would highly recommend the surgery I had. I am a 45year old woman with the breasts of a 25year old , drastic way to get them but they are great.
Once again thank you to everyone especially the vey talented surgeon.
"Very good all round staff, cleanliness..."
