The next available appointment is in 2 weeks with a choice of one doctor in Harraby!

I have just called the surgery to ask if I could leave a message for doctor I have most recently seen as I need a prescription for pain medication ( I have had to temporarily come off my Rheumatoid arthritis drugs which the doctor is aware of and having spoken to the Rheumatogy nurses at the hospital they have recommended a new pain medication) - Not an unreasonable request I would have thought. Apparently the doctors are far to busy to except such a message and I will need to try and contact the surgery a 8 am Monday morning and request a call back. I have returned to work now so that is not an easy option for me.

I have contacted another practice to try and register but I was told they have taken such large numbers of patients from Carlisle healthcare and have closed their lists.

The terrible reputation locally that this surgery has is well deserved I'm sad to say.

Thank you for your feedback regarding your concerns arising from your experience of Carlisle Healthcare.

I was sorry to learn of the problems you experienced when trying to leave a message for the doctor regarding your medication and can appreciate your frustration.

However, contact with the doctor does need to go through the appointment system to be fair to all our patients.

The access to appointments is constrained by the size of the current clinical workforce and we have sought to make best use of our clinicians by working to a very tight timetable each day.
