"Useless"

About: Woodroyd Medical Practice

Impossible to get appointments. They tell you to call up at 9am and so you're ringing continuously with a busy dialing tone and by the time you finally get through to them (half an hour later), they inform you that all appointments are booked. Then they tell you to come into the surgery early in the morning and book an appointment for later that day and then be on your way. Not everyone has the time to leave work twice in one day. When you inform the staff that you wish to complain they surprisingly seem to pull out an appointment from thin air. Reception staff normally seems to be sat in back chatting away doing nothing. Paitents will be waiting by the reception and they'll continue to chit chat. I can't even get an appointment for my 5 month old baby, never mind myself! Terrible.

I would like to apologise for the stress and inconvenience caused in regards to your appointment access and staff issues.

We also offer patients the advantage of registering for online services so that they can book their own appointments; which are usually available the same week. Unfortunately for emergency appointments or same day appointments you must ring at 9am that morning or come into the reception to book an appointment. We are aware that the phone lines are very busy but this is beyond our control so therefore online access is beneficial.

If you would like to discuss matters further please do not hesitate to contact the Practice Manager .
