What I liked

I attended the ED with my my partner who was very unwell. We were not from the area which made the experience a bit more daunting. The ED is a very effecient and proactive environment with good teamwork. It is very clean and tidy and modern to my surprise. The nurses were and looked very professional and the doctors were also very knowledgable and informative. The ED team made a highly skilled and professional area look very simple. This is a very strong point for a hospitals ED especially a general hospital. The care provided was fantastic, we were seen treated and discharged within 2hrs 30mins. If the ED operates like this I would imagine the rest of the hospital does also. Would certainly attend this hospital again. Please keep up the good work and keep the flag flying high for general hospitals!

Thank you very much for your kind comments about our ED (A&E) service at Sandwell General Hospital. You may be interested to know that the A&E burnt down in 2002 and the Emergency Services Centre in which you were treated was open to replace it in 2005 - hence the modern building!
