About: Lister Hospital

What I liked

My father was recently admitted to the coronary care unit as an emergency. I though the care he received there was fantastic. The nurses in particular were very caring and dedicated - we got the feeling nothing was too much trouble - although they were often very busy with other sick patients. As my father is disabled this made a great difference. Even to small things such as getting him a different cup so he could drink himself. The doctors kept us well informed and involved in decision making.

What could be improved

The ward could probably do with a lick of paint - or an upgrade.

How kind of you to let us know about the positive experience you and your father had when admitted to the Lister's coronary care unit recently. We'll make sure that your feedback reaches the team - we know they'll be delighted to read what you've had to say.

As for that lick of paint, it's being planned as part of wider changes affecting the Lister's inpatient and emergency services that should be taking place soon. In the meantime, may we wish both you and your father the very best for the future.
