What I liked
The competence and attitude of staff
What could be improved
Nothing of significance
Anything else?
At the beginning of May, I arrived at A & E in great pain and feeling very unwell. I was seen very promptly, dealt with very efficiently and very soon was admitted to Aspen Ward. My case was not entirely straightforward and I spent some of my time there unable to do anything for myself despite the fact that I am normally a very active person. The doctors who managed my case were attentive, considerate, explained everything, answered all my questions and in every way were absolutely fantastic. The nursing staff were quite wonderful too. At my lowest point when I was totally dependent on them, their kindness and care made what could have been a humiliating and very difficult situation bearable. I have nothing but praise for the way I was looked after during my two and a half weeks as an inpatient and felt that the staff were sharing my joy as I slowly improved. I have to return for an operation later in the year and, having had such a positive experience, will do so with confidence
"Very pleasing in every way."
