"Accurate diagnosis of Polymyalgia Rheumatica"

After being increasingly unwell over a couple of months, and having spent many hours researching what I could be suffering from, I was diagnosed very quickly by my GP with a condition I had never even heard of.

Symptoms were relieved within a few hours of taking the appropriate medication.

This is a chronic disease requiring medication for some years but I am back to enjoying my life whilst taking the medication.

Through the PMRGCAuk website I am now aware of many,many cases where people have suffered for years before they are properly and accurately diagnosed. This delay causes extreme pain and distress to individuals and their families and I am so grateful that I was spared it.
