I was at Ambulatory Care at Forth Valley Royal Hospital for a minor op to my nose it was a procedure called Curettage and Cautery, I was stressed to the max even although I work for the NHS, as like everyone else no one wants any procedure done.
The male Staff Nurse David and the female nursing assistant Margaret were brilliant, before David carried out the procedure he explained everything that what was going to happen eg by saying when he would be putting the injection into my nose it would be very painful, which oh my goodness he was right.
Margaret held my hand throughout this bit, I was truly grateful for Margaret holding my hand. They blethered away during the procedure, which I had my eyes closed throughout as I don't like needles, I feel they both went that extra mile to try and make me feel at ease.
