"Millway Medical Centre - a medical practice..."

When my wife and I joined Millway, over 40 years ago, Mill Hill was a leafy London suburb, with a High Street in which there were shops where the children could still get their footballs repaired and where the surgery was situated in a cosy house that John Betjeman would have admired for its cosiness.

The practice has grown since then in every way. It has moved its base to a purpose built Medical Centre, just off the Broadway and has become an important feature and component of family life for some 19000 patients.

Along the way, doctors and staff who became friends, have come and gone, lasting relationships have been formed and a real sense of being looked after, has warmed our spirits. This is a practice which makes perfect and it deserves a big pat on the back for its sheer sense of professionalism and quality of healthcare and the care it shows to all of us as members of this community.

From the reception staff, through to the back office and admin. teams, to the nurses and then to the doctors themselves, we would like to say a big thank you, for all that you have done and continue to do for us all. Most of us soldier on in business and professional life, largely without praise or plaudits. If ever a practice deserved a standing ovation, it is this one. It should serve as a shining example, for just what the NHS sets out to do. Well done!
