"Superb hospital, go here"

About: The Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital (Stanmore)

What I liked

My whole experience was excellent. I was treated with respect, looked after exceptionally well. My surgery was a great success. I had trouble with managing pain and that was well managed. I was given privacy when I needed it. I felt very well looked after. The nurses on my ward were fabulous. Even the food tasted nice.

After my procedure the patient transport service took me home and they were great.

My consultant was excellent, very kind and patient and took time to make sure I understood all my options and exactly what would happen to me pre and post op.

The outpatients experience was fine too. It hurt a bit taking out stitches, but that is to be expected.

What could be improved

The nursing staff should have shorter shifts and get paid better.

The hospital is very clean and taken care of, but a lot of the buildings are old, I think it is due a refurbishment.

Anything else?

I would like to thank the staff for all treating me so well, and for doing such a good job.
