"GPs are excellent and overworked."

About: The Old Court House Surgery

They bend over backwards to help and give advice.

I have had a meaningful consultation this am.

We agreed that the Psychiatric Teams are falling short of a good standard of service due to lack of resources and personnel.

I had been discharged by the Mental Health Services but found it necessary to ring them as an emergency when I had a panic attack.

I was seen but told the GP is my carer but appointments were not available particularly as it is a Psychiatric responsibility.

One particular GP says they find it impossible to get appointments with the \psychiatric Services.

I told them I had to phone the Psychiatric Team direct, I was feeling so ill with a panic attack.

It took a good week to see someone.

They are experiencing being bogged down with work. Constantly seen by strangers who do not know you, are they all just locums?

I have to ask for my Psychiatric Nurse who tells me they have discharged me.

Extremely satisfied with GP's who provide good and attentive care.

But Psychiatric Services discharging patients to GP who do not have the Mental Health Expertise that ought to be available from the Psychiatrist

Thank you for taking the time to feedback to us on how you feel our service is run.

The doctors and staff at the surgery always try to provide the best possible care for their patients and it always rewarding when patients take the time to let us know that they are happy with the way that we do this
