I was anxious about having a colonoscopy and the dreadful weather conditions on the day meant I arrived at the department in an even more anxious state! Firstly, I would like to thank all the staff for making it into work through the worst snow we've had in years so that my procedure could go ahead. All the staff I met were professional, caring and reassuring. I know I will need regular colonoscopies in future, as part of a screening programme, and although it is not a pleasant procedure, I will be much less anxious next time due to the skill and care I received from staff.
