"Lack of communication"

My daughter was admitted last week. We were told she was going for an x-ray, and followed the nurse, but insteadshe was admitted to a surgical ward, and left waiting in a small room!

Only after asking the nurse on the ward when would she have an x-ray...did we learn she was actually being admitted! I think it would have been polite to actually inform my daughter that she was being admitted. The nurse just pulled her up to the ward on a chair and never spoke on the way up there. She stayed on the ward for 1 day and was then sent home..because, we were told, they needed the bed!
