What I liked
I was a patient at North Tyneside hospital and was apprehensive of the procedure that I was to have.
My first impression on entering the hospital was one of surprise, there were lots of cleaners, sweeping and polishing. Volunteers and members of staff were on hand to offer assistance and I quickly found my way. the outpatients department was run smoothly and I was seen without much delay. The following day in surgery the staff were delightful, efficient and attentive and I felt comfortable. I was most impressed by the appearance of the ward, it was tidy, orderly and well organised. In the reception area the curtains had a lovely design of local places of interest and I noticed that other areas were well colour coordinated.
The hospital had an overwhelming appearance of cleanliness and order, both of which are very important for the confidence and well being of patients and staff. I only wish that more hospitals were like this.
At all times whilst in the hosital I received excellent treatment and care and will be happy to return when necessary.
I was also very taken with the artwork, it gave the history of the hospital in photographs.
"I received excellent treatment"
