"A successful visit, marred by a three..."

About: Manchester Royal Eye Hospital

What I liked

Reassuringly knowledgeable staff, treated me promptly once I had reached a registrar. Not sure why I saw two other members of staff prior to this.

What could be improved

Poor attitude of reception staff, patients seemed an inconvenience to them. Their conversation was of priority over patients stood at the reception desk. Patients looked visibly distressed at the intimidating way in which they were handled by one particular individual.

I spent a total of three hours waiting to be diagnosed - way too long.

The hospital although new, was already dirty, with flooded toilets.

Anything else?

Although delighted with the treatment that I recieved, I felt that the attitude of the reception staff both on the phone and in person was rude and dismissive to say the very least. Patients were blatently ignored.
