What I liked

I first attended A & E late on a Friday night (with kidney pain), was dealt with courteously and efficiently, and after horrendous blood tests, was told that someone would phone me to arrange a CT scan on the Monday or Tuesday next. 10-o'-clock Monday, I got the call to come in any time for a scan. Iwaited around in A & E during the day for repeated blood tests, and at 6.30 pm, was admitted.

The same-sex ward was absolutely spotless. The nurses were lovely, and those in charge knew exactly what they were doing. Even the food was yummy! with copious tea or coffee.

On Thursday afternoon, I went down for a relatively light op to remove two stones. Friday afternoon, after successfully peeing, I was discharged.

The urological teams clearly made the right decisions, and all in all, this was almost a pleasant experience.

I have heard differing reports about this hospital. But - I speak as I find. And, in my experience, everything was just plain excellent.
