We had to attend the hospital last week and were appalled to find that disabled now have to pay to park.
In an earlier review the reviewer was advised the reason for this but also that there were still 47 "Free" disabled spaces, however there was no way of accessing the car parking without taking a ticket and going through the main car park.
Due to a delay at the clinic (neurology) my husband was attending we ended up having to pay £5.50.
We had arrived an hour early to try and get a space which really needs to be as flat as possible because we need to unload a mobility scooter which I struggled to do on the very sloping ground and in order to put the scooter back into the vehicle I had no choice but to move the vehicle to a flatter area to reload it.
If my husband had been on his own he would not have been able to do this and I struggled to do this all within the 30 minutes time allotted from paying to getting back to the car park and loading up and getting through the barrier in that time.
If there are still 47 "Free" parking spaces where are they and how are they accessed as there is no signage as far as we could see.
