"Waiting time"

About: Rotherham Hospital / Accident and emergency

I came here as I couldn't get to see my Gp. I thought this New centre was in order to cut cut down on waiting times by being assessed and routed to to appropriate area, I.e GP, urgent cases and A&E. But in theory it a good idea but in practice it does not cut down the waiting time to be triage and then waiting another 2 hours to see a G.P . I know they work very hard and endlessly for very little reward, but they need to make doctors surgery open on a weekend then this would help centres like this to take the pressure off hospital staff.

I support the organisation in making sure that the voice of patients and the public is heard and used in planning services. This involves running events, managing surveys, and building networks with the local community.

Hello there

Some information you might find useful for the future.

We do now have bookable GP appointment at weekends- on Saturday mornings. These are located in hubs across Rotherham, not in every GP practice, and the reception staff at your practice can book you into available slots.

Helen
