What I liked
I had to visit the Breast care Unit in December for a core biopsey and then subsequent visits for diagnosis and treatment involving an operation and a short stay on ward 8. I can honestly say that every dept on every visit was clean and the staff all treated me with dignity and respect. There were three older ladies on ward 8 the same time as myself and the patience and care offered to them was second to none.
What could be improved
In my opinion if your treatment requires you to stay in hospital overnight it would be nicer to be admitted to the ward before you operation, at least that way you know your way around the ward and know how to adjust your bed! The discharge lounge is not a particularly comfortable place to sit in the day after an operation. I would have prefered to stay on the ward until my transport home arrived, although I do understand the necessity to release beds as quickly as possible.
Anything else?
Car parking is inadequate.
"Very good"
