What I liked
My wife and I have just returned home at 1.30 a.m. on Saturday 23 April 2011. Yesterday evening our step mother was admitted with a head injury having fallen in our house and been collected at great speed by an ambulance. The speed and quality of service was very good indeed. All staff were very good at explaining to our elderly, confused relative what they were doing and what was going to happen next. It is a shame that this has not always been our experience in other NHS hospitals. But on this occasion, well done and thank you very much.
What could be improved
The hot drinks machine was out of order and this is a fairly basic need for people acoompanying patients for lengthy periods.
