"Amazing service"

The NHS is a treasure, and my GP is the jewel in the crown. I blundered into the surgery in great distress and was treated with kindness and thoughtfulness by everyone: all the receptionists, and my GP (who agreed to see me at the last minute, and who I had never met before) made me feel they had loads of time for me; that I wasn't going insane; and that all the things I was concerned about were both reasonable and manageable. I still don't know how they struck such a good balance between taking me seriously and calming me down. I was at my wits' end and I cannot praise the compassion, humanity and professionalism of everyone I encountered enough.
