What I liked

I received excellent treatment from the consultant and team. The nursing was good when the nurses had the some to work it in between the mass of paper work that they have to do.

What could be improved

The food was unhealthy and dreadfull there is no chance of getting your 5 a day or a fat free meal which is what I needed. They don't even have skimmed milk so I had to have my tea black.

One day I had minced beef but all this was simply gravy.

Anything else?

You have a large kitchen down stairs, cook your own food.

Thank you for your kind feedback. We are pleased that you were happy with the care and treatment received while in hospital.

We are sorry you were not completely satisfied with the food you received during your stay at Russells Hall.

We try to offer our patients a variety of foods that are nutritionally balanced and appetizing. Our menus are continually reviewed by the catering department and dieticians to provide the best food possible to our patients.

We also run an inpatient survey asking patients about the food they received while in hospital which will help to identify any changes needed.
