What could be improved
Simpson Ward
-try ringing it to enquire how a relative is.
Do they ever answer? 2hours one day.
Another day they kept cutting me off.
Ward clerk "we are busy,ring back in 30mins"
Day after day of rudeness and a non caring attitude.
Communication skills need to be improved
Anything else?
I have been a senior nurse and travelled 2hours to visit a 94yr aunt.
I have tried to communicate by phone,and to speak to someone when I visited.Despite asking to be informed of discharge,on telephoning the ward I was told there was no patient of that name and that I had the wrong ward.
Where was she?
Sent home of course,she lives alone,and went home yesterday.
Discharge planning?
"Poor.Just not good enough"
