I had a stent fitted in July 2010 and have since been discharged. I am a keen walker and having suffered from angina whilst walking in the Himalaya last year was concerned for any other high altitude future walking. The doctor reassured me that it would be OK. I have just returned from a trip to Peru to walk the Inka Trail to Machu Pichu(fairly strenous 4 days at 4200M) with no problems whatsoever. Thankyou for the excellent treatment. Please let the doctor know. And also the rehab unit.
