What I liked
I was very nervous about my appointment and turned up 45 minutes beforehand. I was called in within 5 minutes of siting down (it was the start of the day though). The nurse that called me and walked me though was very friendly and was the same nurse that was present throughout my appointment The consultant who saw me was also incredibly warm and welcoming and immediately put me at ease. She explained everything to me in great detail and gave me time to ask any questions before the procedure. Both the nurse and the consultant talked to me throughout the procedure and, in fact it was done before I realised. Afterwards, again the consultant explained what she had found and what would happen next. At no point was I rushed through or made to feel uncomfortable.
What could be improved
Nothing - everything was fine
Anything else?
When I read the negative comments here, it surprises me. I had my baby daughter at this hospital 3 years ago, along with all the ante-natal care; I was re-admitted a week later; my daughter has been in for asthma and a fractured arm and I had to come back for a colposcopy. I cannot fault anything on any of the visits. The staff have always been helpful, friendly and knowledgble. It has always been clean. I never been left feeling short of infomation or wanting for anything.
"Made an unpleasant procedure - more..."
