"Certain areas superb but there is plenty..."

About: Ashford Hospital

What I liked

The majority of the staff were very pleasant. The staff with food tea etc were super. Nice small area with only 4 beds. The training nurses superb however seemed to get a hard time by some of the qualified nurses.

What could be improved

Pain relief. As I refuse morphine I had to keep chasing to get anything else. The whole drug trolley is a complete joke. Nobody seemed to know what was given when. This makes me believe it must have something to do with the charts and the way the drugs you have are recorded.

I also had to get out of my bed area before I was discharged. Not a problem but I could have been discharged at least 2 hours before had a plan been put in place. I also had a nurse who when I asked for help to empty my bedside locker told me 'you can walk' which I could but I wasn't meant to bend to retrieve my shoes etc on the floor of my locker. Horrible person who should never be a nurse.
