What I liked
The midwife during my labour was very helpful....plus she was the midwife I had seen at my GP clinic for antenatal appointments! She was the only one in the hospital who made me feel comfortable
What could be improved
Customer service!!! All of the midwives in Elm Ward need to change their customer services, I agree with previous reviews where people are saying everything they ask for is met with a sigh.
You go to reception to ask to be seen and you are treated as if you are intruding on the receptionist's agenda, although booking patients in is her job!
She reluctantly tells you to sit down, no indication of how long the wait, if you ask you are told well I don't know, you've just turned up you must expect a wait, which is fine but manners don't cost anything.
The midwifes are patronising and uncaring to say the least, if you are in pain they will say so what this is labour, no compassion etc
I attended the ward a few times with false labour pains, and instead of being reassured and sent home, I was verbally attacked saying I was wasting their time and what do I want them to do, they can't force the baby out of me! Comments like this are uncalled for and completely out of order
Anything else?
I will not be going back to this hospital again, and will not recommend to any other expectant mother
Appalling service
Worst hospital I have even seen in my life
"Bad memories of what should have been..."
