Anything else?
I am writing this not for myself but on behalf of my Mum aged 86. She was admitted to eau 1 on fri 18 march, while there she was cared for very well. One nurse however give her an overdose of her pills, an incident form was filled in. She was then moved to ward 42 were again she was teated very well , the medical staff were very good and so were most of the nurses. This remained so until her last night in hospital Thurs 24th march, she had her treatment which was a drain to remove fluid from her abdomen, this was done while I was there, kindly the doctor allowed me to stay with her during the proceedure. It was after I left that things become bad!
It become evident that a certain set of night staff did not do their job. They left my Mum in a wet bed, they put her buzzer were she wouldn't be able to reach it, my Mum would not complain without real cause, next morning she was distressed and very upset. Luckily my Mum has her family around her but what about the poor old dear who are left with no one to speak up for them!
I will say again most of the staff were very kind it was just two member who I think are in the wrong job.
"ok"
