About: Leeds General Infirmary

What I liked

My wife went through 51 hours of labour plus a couple of days of recovery and met quite a few different midwives during her time. Every single member of staff was exceptional and could not fault their conduct or care.

What could be improved

The food. Also the midwives are good at assisting with breastfeeding but the community breast feeding support workers are exceptional and it would be nice if they could come into the hospital to help new mums rather than waiting for them to go home as sometimes this delay can result in problems arising when the patient is home resulting in readmission due to the baby losing too much weight.

Anything else?

Always remember to have a lot of pound coins - the parking is £16 for a day and does not take cards!

Thank you for sharing your story on Patient Opinion and I am sorry for the delay in responding to you.

I was pleased to hear about the care and treatment you and your wife recieved.

I shall pass your compliments and concerns raised about the community breastfeeding support workers to the Patient Relations Manager at the hospital.
