About: Salisbury District Hospital

What I liked

My GP referred me around 10.30 - my first appointment was at 1.30. I had a neck scan, an ECG and a CT brain scan, was seen by a consultant, collected a supply of medication from the pharmacy, and was able to go home about 5 pm. I was given a simple sketch plan of the departments I had to visit, which I found very helpful.

Anything else?

There is a proposal that GPs should run hospitals. My experience of SDH convinces me that such a change would be disastrous for the NHS, and is probably not sought by many GPs.
