"Respite information"

My mother lives full time with myself and my husband and has been for the past three years. At the moment I can cope with this as she is in good health for her 100 years and does not need nursing care. The problem for me is that I don't use respite services, so that I can get a break occasionally, she has home carer visiting once a day to provide medication to her legs but not at weekends. I do not know what respite services are available as no one seems to offer this service to me.

Thank you for getting in touch. If you give the Social Work Contact Centre a call on 03451 55 15 03 and explain the position they will give you information and can make a refer to the social work service in your area.
