"administration pitfalls"

About: Orsett Hospital

I cancelled a doctors appointment with my g.p.to attend the Orsett eye clinic on Wednesday 31st Jan at 4.15pm When I arrived at reception I was told my appointment was cancelled, for a patient more urgent than me they had not arrived so I was told I could stay and attend my original appointment.

We went to the waiting room to find there were only four chairs empty.I was warned there might be a three hour wait in my original letter. It was as hot as an oven in the waiting room with at least fifty patients in there. l left because I could not wait three hours,I am seventy three and I do not think that the administration consider that they are dealing with sick and elderly people.Proper individual appointment times should be issued.

My choice is that over a period of years attending the clinic

I will not come back.
