I was admitted following a heart attack. My surgeon, Dr Swami, made me fully aware of my best options, with the aim of restoring me to full health.
Whilst the process is a traumatic one, the care and attention I received from Dr Swami, and with everyone else I came into contact with was absolutely first-rate. I felt safe and cared-for throughout my 4+ week stay, and the small individual acts of kindness I received from all the staff on a daily basis, really helped my recovery. Nothing is perfect, of course: I was not too impressed with the food, but equally I am aware that such a major operation really affects one's appetite, so I am not going to be too critical,
Overall, for my very first stay in hospital, I was amazed at the professionalism, compassion, care and kindness of everyone. Thank you RSUH, you have given me a new lease of life.
