I attended the Dermatology unit at the Vale of Leven Hospital for the second time in a month , i have to say this department has improved since my last visit especially the waiting time to be seen by the consultant, but in my view there has still not been an improvement on reception staff wearing standard NHS uniforms like the rest of the NHS Hospitals it was like walking into a bank with no uniform I really feel no matter what the situation is that all staff should be wearing NHS Uniforms as this could be anyone dealing with confidential information.
Finally I would like to draw the attention to a sign that is taped to the reception which Read the Following " If you arrive for your appointment early you will have to wait longer But Patients who arrive on time will be taken" I found this sign to be a bit intimidating towards patients who may have to travel and may be early for no fault of their own especially if you are traveling with public transport, this sort of sign shouldn't be displayed in a way that could turn patients away from the service if they are attending early with no fault of there own.
