"Endocrinology - appointment rescheduled 4+ times"

About: University Hospital Lewisham / Endocrinology

I started treatment in the hospital in 2016 and was referred by lewisham to kings college to a test in March 2017 (after kings college gave their opinion that I should be referred). I was meant to follow up on my results in lewisham in April 2017 (test results were stated as borderline) and have since then been rescheduled. Each time Its getting closer to my appointment I get a letter stating it's been moved to a few months time, and I've now received 4-5 letters rescheduling. My next appointment is not for another few months - I've been left clueless what my results mean and have to wait OVER A YEAR to discuss results from a serious test and what they mean/what my options are. It's quite frankly shocking.

We are sorry that there has been an issue with your appointments. We do need more details to enable us to investigate the circumstances and would ask that you contact our Patient Advice and Liaison Service (PALS) at pals.lewisham@nhs.net or on 020 8333 3355 so that we can look into the matter further.

Kind regards
