"Keep up the brilliant work"

About: Barlborough NHS Treatment Centre / Orthopaedics

(as the patient),

I have been very lucky asking advice from my doctor on the best more local to me than Northern General in manchester.  The good doctor Bailey and staff (If you are local to  jasmine road and not a client why not!?)

They recommended Barlborough on Lindrick Way Chesterfield.

As a war veteran with as many operations as my service in the army, I was ready to give them a go  I was not dissapointed apart from it being closer it  was a lovely place with all staff smiling, (I want whatever they are on) I have now been several times walking away with the confidence of a professional  team from  the front desk to the cleaning staff on the wards, including catering, never forget them or the good food. I have commented before on this hospital but until you go under the knife you only know a little... I had my 6th new hip here and was totally impressed with the main man whom  did the operation, the anaesthetist to all in  the theatre area.  they are brilliant!!

After surgery in January I found myself on the small ward which was welcoming, clean tidy and homely!! I even took a few pounds worth of biscuits for them all...My god how quick they were demolished..lol

I am so impressed with them all, even the overworked cleaning staff (In  fact all staff  are overworked it is a good job I am not in government, or a pay rise would be on the horizon) who always say hallo as they speed round the place, keeping it immaculate 24/7. All nursing staff from the top to the newest are brilliant polite helpful friendly professional and extremely clever and good at what they do, nothing stops them going the extra mile. Nothing stops anyone there, not forgetting the great guy wheeling us all  round the place to the X Ray department. I could go on but trust me search them out and see if they can do for you what they did for me and hundreds more people.

After just 3 days I was home...pretty good and the equipment they lend you the week before is brilliant fitting in the house was no issue. I had to go back for the main person whom will raise the shoe height for walking ability, nothing  stood in his way to stop him giving me and others 100%  attention to ensure I was going to be OK..Then the appointment for physiotherapy followed.  Worried in case I had to run a mile or two :) OR show my pole dancing skills (ask the staff) LOL

I met Elizabeth. She was brilliant and as for the staff in general polite friendly helpful considerate well knowledgeable,in fact she is well educated (more  than me) in more than Physiotherapy a real professional who knows how to treat people be friendly and helpful.  I was so relaxed!! as her skills come out and no worries of her abilities. I look forward (if allowed or required )to my next session with her.

I could go on but  perhaps if I did you would not believe me, but you should. I love them all, even the tea trolley.

When you go take some biscuits all staff love them.

Love to all at the hospital and keep up the brilliant work.
