About: Queen Victoria Hospital (East Grinstead)

What I liked

I was not happy about going to the Queen Victoria hospital for my operation, only because I live in Hastings and it is a long way for my disabled husband to visit me. But once there, I was treated so well by all the Doctor's and nurses and even the Domestic staff were lovely. The ward was being cleaned all the time, the meals were ok, but could have been better. The lounges were well away from the wards, which ment that you could hear the tv without disturbing paitents and it was lovely to be able to take your family in there too.

I know I will be going back for further operations and I am actually looking forward to it! At least I know I will get fantastic care. And my last comment has to be to the Surgeon that performed my operation. If anyone out there will be operated on by him, he is the best! His bedside manner is so calming and he is the most caring Doctor I have had the pleasure to meet.

What could be improved

The food. I know the budget is very limited but I still think the quality could be improved!

Anything else?

Look out for the soldiers, they come around and really cheer you up! They make you realise that your problems are nothing compared to some of theirs and give you lots of inspiration.
