For 3 months experiencing pain in both hands and both wrists.
Consulted my GP around Christmas 2017.
She said sounds like carpal tunnel syndrome.
Said she would refer me to orthopaedic dept at hospital.
Four weeks later I had an appointment at Monklands Hospital.
Saw Dr . Mac Leod. He explained simply and succinctly what CTS was.
Went through treatment options with me, recommended and provided splints for both hands there and then.
Nurse then took over and supplied and fitted splints.
A simple story about a common condition, ie CTS.
But I felt I was treated with every respect and courtesy as if had a serious orthopaedic condition.
Dr. MacLeod reappeared and checked with me I was happy with the splints.
He reiterated I could return if the symptoms of my CTS got worse.
All in all, very happy and impressed with my visit to Monklands Hospital.
